CAPE TOWN - ActionSA MP Dereleen James has opened a case of intimidation against Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie. This after a McKenzie went on a Facebook Live on Sunday where he said to James in Afrikaans, "Die pad is lank", loosely translated, "The road is long". James said the minister insinuated that she does not have security and therefore she felt threatened and exposed. McKenzie denied the allegations and said he had referred a complaint on the allegations to Parliament’s Ethics Committee. "I feel intimidated,” James said outside the Cape Town Central police station. “No one can dispute my reality when the minister took to social media, exposing me. He knows that we have proven allegations of him and his deputy president at the houses of drug cartels. "I am meant to probe that. I am not sure why people think that because we are coloured, we should not hold each other accountable. No one can intimidate me; I have had enough,” she added.
