It’s time you started believing in Africa.
— Stephen Vincent, Founder of ABITECH
My name is Stephen Vincent.
I grew up in Rozenburg and later moved to Rotterdam during my student years. Father of two boys, 19 and 17. For years I worked in transport. I thought I knew business.
Then a Congolese friend named Oscar invited me to Nairobi. That trip changed my life.
What I saw there cannot be put into words. A city building itself in real time. A generation of entrepreneurs moving faster than anything I had seen in Europe. A market so underestimated by the West that the opportunity was almost embarrassing.
I flew back to the Netherlands. Then I flew back to Nairobi. Then again. And again.
Today, together with my co-founder Mike, we are shifting the horizon from Europe to Africa. We are your gateway to the new Africa.
While Europe looks away, Africa grows.
I have been telling people for years: Africa deserves your belief.
Look at the numbers. The Nigerian stock exchange is up over 44% this year alone. Kenya’s NSE gained nearly 19%. Ghana’s GSE close to 80%. Meanwhile, the AEX barely moves at under 1%.
This is not luck. This is a continent finding its stride. A population of 1.4 billion people. The youngest workforce on the planet. The fastest urbanization rates in history.
And infrastructure investment pouring in from every direction — UAE, China, India, the Gulf states. Everyone sees it. Except most Europeans.
That changes now.
We didn’t just visit. We committed.
I have a Kenyan ID. A Kenya LTD registered and active. A bank account at DTB Diamond Trust Bank in Nairobi. Partners I have done business with — real business, not just LinkedIn connections. My network covers Nigeria and the whole of East Africa — Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda.
My co-founder Mike brings a network that runs deep into Ghana, Congo (DRC), Senegal, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast. His West and Central African connections are the backbone of our presence in the region.
ABITECH was not built by outsiders looking in. It was built by the African diaspora living and working in the Netherlands — finance professionals who understand both worlds. Who know what European investors need to see. And who know what Africa actually looks like on the ground.
This is not a website about Africa. This is a platform built by people who are IN Africa.
“I’ve watched European entrepreneurs miss opportunity after opportunity because they were afraid of what they didn’t understand. ABITECH exists to end that fear — with intelligence, with presence, and with people who go with you.”
— Stephen Vincent

The diaspora is waking up.
Something is shifting. More and more European entrepreneurs with African roots are coming back. They see what we see. They know what the continent is capable of. The momentum is building.
ABITECH exists at the intersection of European capital and African opportunity. Our AI monitors 54 countries around the clock. Our intelligence is free for everyone.
And for those ready to act — we go with you.
Personally. Physically. To Nairobi, Lagos or Accra. Because trust is not built on a screen.
Investors are always welcome for coffee
An informal conversation about Africa as an investment market. No pitch. No presentation. Just an honest conversation about what we see on the ground in Nairobi, Lagos and Accra.
Stephen Vincent & Mike are based in Rotterdam and travel regularly to Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana. Come see that ABITECH is real. That Africa is real. That the opportunity is real.
